Radio Controlled Units
Radio controls for crane equipment allow personnel to safely and efficiently operate overhead cranes. Controls can be made with various combinations of buttons and speeds. The controls are also available with joystick control. Including many safety features on the control reduces the risk of injury to employees. In addition to cranes controls can operate conveyors, boat ramps, doors, and lift tables.
SIMBAL: Supplier of remote radio control and higher capacity conductor systems.
Below you will find details relating to the Radio Controlled Units we currently supply and install:
M550 'WAVE' Push button radio
The Wave push button radio is a comprehensive range of standard remote control systems featuring up to 12 command buttons.
The M550 WAVE pushbutton radio is available with two transmitter sizes depending on the number of commands required, all transmitters can be combined with either type 'L' or type 'H' receivers making the WAVE pushbutton range extremely flexible.
M550 WAVE ‘S' (Transmitter)
The pushbutton radio M550 WAVE ‘S' range is available with either 4, 6 or 8 double pressure pushbuttons for the movement commands in addition to the standard Start/Klaxon button and STOP mushroom head button The transmitter has space for an optional command which can be a multi position rotary switch, a single step pushbutton or an analogue potentiometer. special attention has been paid to the ergonomic design of the WAVE transmitter taking into consideration the practical aspects of compact overall size, large pushbuttons suitable for operation with industrial gloves, easy access & protected STOP button. This makes the WAVE ‘S' a natural choice for the control of hoists, overhead cranes and small tower cranes. The possibility of customisation again extends the possible uses of this type of transmitter to a large variety of machines equipped with on/off control boxes whether AC or DC powered.
M550 WAVE ‘L' (Transmitter)
The pushbutton radio M550 WAVE ‘S' range is available with either 4, 6 or 8 double pressure pushbuttons for the movement commands in addition to the standard Start/Klaxon button and STOP mushroom head button The transmitter has space for an optional command which can be a multi position rotary switch, a single step pushbutton or an analogue potentiometer. special attention has been paid to the ergonomic design of the WAVE transmitter taking into consideration the practical aspects of compact overall size, large pushbuttons suitable for operation with industrial gloves, easy access & protected STOP button. M550 ZEUS ‘B2' (Transmitter)
The ZEUS B2 transmitter combines the advanced ergonomic design and functional features required in standard application fields such as tower cranes, factory cranes, small concrete pumps, high pressure and vacuum pump vehicles and any other type of machine for which double-axis joysticks represent the ideal type of movement commands. The ZEUS B2 console has a compact size but reserves ample space for on/off and proportional commands making it easy to customise the transmitter for special applications.
M550 Batteries and Chargers
All IMET radio transmitters use rechargeable NiMH batteries giving up to 15 hours continuous use between charges and every system comes with two batteries as standard. The chargers are supplied either with standard plug for 230VAC supply, or with a cigarette lighter style plug for 12-32VDC in vehicle charging. Chaargers can work in temperatures from 0 up to 35 deg C and batteries will be fully charged in a maximum of 3 hours.
TYPE ‘L' (Receiver)
The IMET type 'L' is the most common receiver for standard applications, its compact size and high level of versatility make it ideal for situations where space constraints are an issue. It is the natural choice for On/Off applications in VAC and VDC supplies and for standard applications requiring proportional outputs in VDC such as hydraulic cranes. The LAC receiver accepts a wide range of supply voltages (24 - 230 VAC) and is equipped with 20 relays for the movement commands in addition to the start, stop and safety stop outputs. The LDC receiver can be supplied with 12 - 28VDC and is available in two versions, with 16 relays for the movement commands or with 20 solid state On/Off + 8 proportional outputs for the movement commands in addition to start, stop and safety stop outputs.
TYPE 'H' (Receiver)
The M550 H receiver is suitable for the most complex configurations. Its modular structure allows it to be equipped with up to 48 relays or 38 relays + 8 proportional outputs in addition to the start, stop and safety stop outputs. The data feedback option is guaranteed by means of half duplex radio modules. This receiver is the common partner for transmitting units having a large number and variety of commands. The HAC receiver can be powered with 24 to 230 vac whilst the DC accepts 12 - 28 VDC.
